Into The Sun

I’ve been pretty busy over the past few weeks as I’ve been preparing new work for two upcoming exhibitions.

The first one will be running from the 25th until the 20th of June. I’ll be exhibiting two new pieces of work for ‘Into the Sun’ exhibition, organised by artist Ivy Mei. The private viewing will be on Thursday 25th June at A-side B-side Gallery, Hackney Downs Studio.

Come by and say hello to us all! For more information about the group show please visit the Facebook event here: https://www.facebook.com/events/1451097908528392/

The gallery’s opening times are as follows:

Thursday: 12-5pm and 7-9pm

Friday-Monday 12-6pm.

All other times must be arranged via an appointment.

Hopefully I’ll see you there!

I’ve been rather quiet about showing my piece of work for the ZOO (LHR) Exhibition; it sort of ruins the moment! Anyway, I can now reveal my illustration in all it’s penguin-glory! It was really nice to create a new piece of work for the exhibition as I’ve been busy at work and so I’ve not had the time to do any art.

Sam and I went to the PV last night at The Hanbury Arms in Islington (by the way, it’s a rather nice pub!). Had a lovely long chat with illustrator Willa McDonagh , Tim Easley and Sarah Underwood– not forgetting Mr Gresty of course who organised an amazing exhibition for us all! Thank you so much!

The exhibition runs until the 31st October at The Hanbury Arms, 33 Linton Street, Arlington Square, N1 7DU.

Hello folks! I hope you’re all enjoying the sunshine wherever you are! I’ve been a bit quiet over the past month or so as I’ve just started working full-time back at my old job as an ABA tutor. Plus, Sam and I have moved downstairs; so it’s been a rather hectic couple of weeks and I’ve not had the time to sit down or let alone sort my head out!

On a lighter note, I’m part of a group exhibition organised by Mr Regresty and the theme for it is ‘Zoo’. The exhibition opens on Friday 11th July at 7:00pm at the Hanbury Arms in Islington. More details can be found on the Facebook Events page. I’m pretty stoked about it and I can’t wait to show you what I’ll be exhibiting!

Today I was around Sheung Wan so I decided to pop into Above Second on Eastern Street. I got a bit lost but I had a really nice walk down Queens Road West and I found loads of random shops on my way to the gallery.

If you’re around the area I recommend checking it out. There seems to be a cluster of cafes and continental restaurants dotted around the area, as in getting ‘trendier’ when I spoke to someone about it. Must be a good sign though, right?

I’ve been meaning to go to Stour Space for ages so yesterday we went there on the motorbike. I’m not exactly familiar with the area and we got lost a few times on the motorbike! It was a bit of a mini adventure going endlessly round and round the area!

I didn’t realise Stour Space was a converted warehouse and so I was pretty amazed by it. There was High Roller Society’s ‘Roll Over Play Dead’ exhibition on the ground floor and I assume the studio spaces were on the top floor as well as the ground floor.

Afterwards, we went to the Carlton Cafe and we sat outside overlooking the canal and the Olympic Stadium. It was pretty sweet to see street painter Malarky’s work embezzled all over the Carlton’s walls.

And then we went straight to Westfields for a few hours… All in all it was a rather lovely afternoon!
