Hello dear readers! How’s the start to your week been? It’s been a bit chilly though, right? Even though it’s been oh so very cold when the sun comes out though there’s that lovely warm feeling, even if it’s just for a split second. The air felt really crisp and fresh- I actually love it when it’s like this. In saying that, the transport in London literally freezes (there I said it) to a halt… and it makes commuting such a wonderful journey. I could go on about the trains but I’m going to have to bite my tongue as I’ll go off in a tangent!

Over the past couple of weeks I’ve been working hard at my presentation for Doncaster Central Learning Centre; I’ll be hosting an Etsy training workshop sometime in the next couple of months and I’m really excited about it. It’ll be my first training workshop as well so I’ve been planning and prepping a slide which I’ll be presenting to the attendees. I’ll post more about it once it comes closer to the date.

This post rounds up with some gift ideas for Mother’s Day, since it’s only round the corner (next week!).

From top left to right: You’re the Best Card, Swan Postcard, Little Blue Bird Pocket Mirror, Together Fine Art Print, The Blue Bird Fine Art Print, Small Emerald Green Necklace

**UPDATE: There’s currently 15% off everything in my Etsy shop (apart from the sale section) from now until the 10th March.**

I’m going to end my post here so that’s all for now. I hope you all have a brilliant week and thanks for reading and following my blog.

Happy, happy Sunday and Chinese New Year everyone! Hope you’re week has been an absolute blast. My folks came down on Friday to visit us so we’ve spent the past two days eating loads of delicious food! We went out last night for some Chinese food to celebrate CNY; it was absolutely jam packed at the restaurant but great to see loads of people having a really good time.

I’ve been on an Etsy mission lately and I’ve been designing load of new stuff in time for spring; I defo feel like my work has moved on and I wanted to make more new pieces of artwork for my shop. Well, it’s an excuse to draw unicorns!

Postcards are now available to buy in my Etsy shop, have a look here.

I’m going to end the post here as I need more coffee right now! Here’s my motto to the start of a new week: I wish you all good health, luck and fortune and may 2018 be a smashing year whatever it may be. Whether it’s achievements big or small keep going and don’t stop learning and growing. Surround yourself with the people you love, spend time with loved ones, always reflect and pause for a minute to appreciate the moment.

Boom!

Jo

Hello there! Hope you’ve all had a spooky Halloween- this month has gone too fast, right? We went to Kotor last week and had an amazing time (the last of the summer days as we were saying!). I’ll be writing up a post for it over the weekend, plus photos to edit as well so it’s defo a weekend job!

I’m running another sale in time for Christmas so keep the dates in your diaries and make a note of it as Christmas (already??!!) is creeping very quickly around the corner!

More blog posts coming right up in the next couple of days as I’ve been meaning to write up another post about Inktober. Enjoy the rest of the week!

Hola hola there!

I’m having a big clear out so that I can make way for new products in my Etsy shop. There is currently 50% off everything in my Etsy shop- yes, 50%- so if you have early Christmas shopping to do then have a look in my Etsy shop for cards and prints. The only exception this applies to is the sale section as those things are already discounted.

Certainly not to be missed!

I’m honestly not the one to be telling everyone about my birthday, I’ve never made a really big fuss about it. Especially over the last few years I’ve been happy just to have a small birthday- nothing too big, just celebrating my birthday with my friends and families.

On Tuesday I’ll be 30- not sure how I feel about it yet. Those two digits still feels quite alien to me. Who knows, maybe on Tuesday I’ll be crying at work or I’ll happily embrace it and see it as a milestone to everything that I’ve done over the past few years. In my early twenties- just after I had graduated- I had no idea what I wanted to do in terms of my artwork (direction, style, medium). You assume that you’ll have everything all sussed out, like, knowing where you want to be career-wise. It’s not that easy though. Things aren’t that simple or clear cut. As I hurtled towards my mid twenties that feeling of dread hit me like a brick wall. Has anyone else experienced that? That constant thought of ‘I should really be settling down now to a secure job/relationship/buying a house/getting that pension sorted out’ etc. By my late twenties I was like, ‘Fuck this. I’m going to do what I want and I’m going to be happy whatever happens’. I’ve found that trying out different options out meant that I could sift through what I liked and didn’t like, which I think was probably the most important steps I’ve done. Because as much as people/professionals will give you advice, it’s really up to the individual to choose their own paths through positive and negative experiences. But then you look back and realise those kind of things makes you a better person. It’s taken me such a long time to have a positive mindset, accept that what I want to achieve will take time, and appreciate the small things in life such as taking time out to learn a new recipe or read a book I wouldn’t normally go for.

So to celebrate this momentous moment I’m having a 30% discount over in my Etsy shop. See below for more details:

I’m looking forward to spending time with people I care about (and being fed as well which is nice). I hope you all have a super weekend! Birthday treats start as of now!
