The countdown begins. It’s about 4 months until we’re getting married- GAH! ‘Gah’ in a good way of course, the days and weeks are speeding ahead so quickly I can’t get my head around it. I thought I’d try and be super organised so I only bought myself a rather lovely diary from Anthropolgie (on the sale as well!).

So the next thing on my to-do list (along with a billion other things on our list) is what type of hair style and hair accessories to go for- not sure what sort of hair accessories to go for as I’m wanting to buying something I’ll treasure forever. I’ve been looking at Gucci, Valentino, Christian Dior and Reem Acra for hair inspiration, yup you’ve guessed it, it’s all about the flowers right now. I want to go for a look that’s slightly over the top and not your average wedding-look if you know what I mean.

I want my hair slightly up, loose, nothing too fancy but with LOADS of accessories all over my hair. So I’ve playing around with a couple of ideas when I’ve been looking at bridal hair accessories, see below for an illustrated guide!

Luna Bea Maria Comb, £200
Eden b. Studio Erin Comb, £185
Debbie Carlisle Bridal Floral Mother of Pearl Hair Pins, see link for individual pricing

Thanks so much for reading, as always, and I hope you’ve enjoyed this post. I’m going to commit to buying one of the above at some point. Of course, all will be revealed on the big day!

Have a lovely day!

What have I been up to since my last post? I went back to Doncaster to get my dress altered (SO exciting!), I’ll be back up in June for a final fitting and then that’s that done. Bought my wedding shoes, got part of my hair accessories sorted out and I’ve been making even more flowers and I’m planning to make some more right up until the big day. I’ve already made enough to go on the tables, but now I’m not sure whether to still make a large hanging mobile or whether I should stick with something simple. I’ve been looking at Pinterest for ideas- see below for ideas and inspiration.

Either free standing flowers or making really big flowers hanging off from the beams. I like this one from Antropologie as the whole displays feels organic and natural; as though the flowers are growing around the mannequins.

These ones above I’m feeling very adventurous- or too slightly adventurous! Since I’ve made loads of flowers I could hanging them down using bits of fishing wire attached to a large frame or bamboo sticks. Or, I was planning on making a flower garland going from one side of the room to the other.

What do you all think I should do? Any tips for me?

Grow as you are

Lately I’ve been inspired by quotes, experiences and person thoughts with some of my latest pieces.

I say change is always good for personal growth. For me, it has been being around an environment surrounded by negative people and energy. And I’ve also learnt that some people want to follow the crowd and fit in with others- so be it.

Each day I say to myself:

Stay true to yourself.

Don’t let others walk all over you.

Be your own person.
